TerraConsulting (Pty) Ltd is a young wholly black—owned organisation founded in 2001. The company offers business consulting services for the Enterprise Development Services market, to facilitate sustainable SMME growth and development. The company has managed to grow in size, in its client base and service offering. The company has a team of six young, dynamic individuals, all skilled in their specific areas of expertise.
TerraConsulting is led by a managing director, an office manager and a team of skilled and dedicated young business consultants, well equipped to provide services in enterprise development. The team comprises of a larger number of women over men, making TerraConsulting an equitable employer.
Terraconsulting (Pty) Ltd is growing every day. The team is young, talented, bright and keen in helping established businesses and budding SME’s equally in reaching their fullest potential. We have recently expanded our geographical reach, and opened an office in Cape Town. This is an exciting period in the company, a growing phase.

TerraConsulting offers the following services;
We advise on effective Accounting Systems and related Internal controls Systems. These internal controls are viewed to asses any weakness and were necessary any improvements to system. This ensures that your Accounting records are as fairly presented as possible.
Registering clients with the relevant bodies and completing and submitting returns for all tax and applicable levies.
This includes personal and business tax solutions, and all district / magisterial levy submissions.
Enterprise Development
In the eight years we have been in business, we have managed to acquire a number of reputable clients in both the public and private sector, and are working towards adding more clients from each sector to our database.
In the process, we have managed to acquire valuable skills and competencies ranging from business process to financial analysis. We have also done a significant amount of work within the public sector, having gained numerous SME clients involved in the services, retail and manufacturing sectors. Our private sector work has ranged from start-ups and mentorship, business planning and SME development and financial services.
The following represents TerraConsulting’s key clients;
1. Small Enterprise Development Agency
TerraConsulting is an affiliate of the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA). We are a SEDA Enterprise Information Center (EIC). The program allows us to assist SMME‘s with business advice, general business information and other business tools offered by SEDA.
2. Umsobomvu Youth Fund Business Development Services
The company has been accredited as a service provider for the (Umsobomvu Youth Fund-Business Development Services Voucher Programme) UYF-BDSVP programme to assist young entrepreneurs with basic business support services and advice. The company is also tasked with the development of business plans, marketing and strategy formulation plans.
3. Eastern Cape Development Corporation
We are service providers for the Eastern Cape Development Corporation’s Enterprise Development Services Unit. We provide business planning services for emerging and existing SMME’s.
4. Khula Enterprise Finance Limited
TerraConsulting is an accredited Mentorship provider for Khula Enterprise Finance Ltd. The program allows TerraConsulting to formulate business plans for Khula clients to obtain financing for business ventures for business loans from R 50 000 up to R 5 million. We also provide operational and management related solutions on an on going basis under the Thuso mentorship program.

Background
Traditional enterprise management software such as SAP and Oracle is based on predefined practices and processes that are shaped essentially by computer programming. It is currently widely recognised that such enterprise software is rigid, expensive and scales badly to complexity. Many are seeking solutions to these problems and numerous concepts have been introduced to address these issues, for instance SOA, BPM etc.
However, it is now recognised that the future lies in semantically based technologies. Such technologies, rather than expressing transactions and steps needed to be executed to update databases, allow for pure expression of meaning/knowledge and the resultant transactions/steps are automated. This results in a vast reduction in complexity and allows one to “talk” to a computer in more human terms. One should note the DIKW hierarchy.
Semantic technology allows one to move from information technology to knowledge technology. Also note the current interest in SBPM (Semantic Business Process Management) and more broadly the semantic web. SAP and Oracle are investigating these trends. Nine years ago we recognised that IT was missing this semantic aspect and proceeded to research and develop entirely semantically based enterprise management software. Furthermore, internationally, there is a very strong trend towards internet based systems that deliver software as a service. ThoughtExpress is a vehicle to deliver Orfeo semantic enterprise management on the internet.

The most important difference between traditional systems and semantic ones is that one can express precisely the operations/business rules of an enterprise directly in business terms rather than having to convert these to computer programs.

The business is operating from No 10 Mountain View Flats, Fortgale Mthatha in the Eastern Cape under King Sabata Dalindyebo Local Municipality in OR Tambo District. It therefore services the area and surrounding towns within the district.

Bang Health Creations, is a registered close corporation – focused on promoting good health and wellness, presented through presentations and workshops using various educational products aimed at motivating employees to live healthily. These are offered by Drs Bango.
Dr Lizo Bango completed his B.Sc. degree at the University of Free State. Together with Dr Funeka Bango, they further graduated at the University of Free State after completion of their M.B.,Ch.B. degrees. This husband and wife team has spent the past 6 years serving hospitals and primary health care clinics in the Cape Metropole. Their combined experiences confirmed the realization that for most people, their doctor is still their major and trusted source of health care advice.
This realization prompted Drs Bango to come up with ways of enabling the healthy and those already sick to take control of their weight and health issues in a non-intimidating, simple and entertaining manner.
